The focus of the special issue

To address the complex challenges at the intersection of environmental sustainability, food safety, and crop quality, the special issue aims to explore interconnected approaches and innovative solutions. Emphasizing the nexus thinking inherent in the conference themes, we seek contributions that integrate perspectives from sustainable agriculture, food security, and environmental conservation. The goal is to advance knowledge and strategies that enhance the safety of crops and foods within the context of broader sustainability considerations.

We invite researchers to contribute their research papers related to the topics, but not limited to:

  1. Integrated approaches to sustainable agriculture and food systems
  2. Novel technologies for ensuring food safety and crop quality
  3. Biodiversity conservation and its impact on crop quality
  4. Climate-smart agriculture for sustainable food production
  5. Circular economy applications in the food and crop industry
  6. Water resources management for crop quality and food safety
  7. Sustainable energy systems in agriculture
  8. Strategies for carbon neutrality in food production
  9. Innovative waste management in the agri-food sector
  10. Policy frameworks promoting sustainable practices

Submission of manuscript opens:                                                           July 1, 2024

Deadline for manuscript submission:                                                   December 31, 2024

A total of 10 papers will be accepted for this special issue, with full waivers granted for 5 submissions and a 70% discount voucher applicable to the remaining 5 submissions in APC.
