Quality Assurance and Safety of Crops & Foods - Submitting a paper

Submit manuscirpt is as per template provided on home page of QAS

Submit your paper via www.qascf.com website through the website submission system by logging in.
New authors are requested to create an account on the site (register them as author) before submitting the manuscript. 
If you are unable to submit your manuscript via the online submission system (https://mc03.manuscriptcentral.com/qascf), you can send your manuscript to [email protected], we will submit it on your behalf. Prior to submission, authors who believe their manuscripts would benefit from professional editing are encouraged to use a language-editing service.

Contributions to ‘Quality Assurance and Safety of Crops & Foods’ must be original (research) and will be subject to peer review. Submitted papers must follow the authors guidelines to be considered for review and publication. An Endnote Style and a Reference Manager Style for the journal are available for download. Refereeing of papers is conducted anonymously and the identity of the referees is not disclosed.
Submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or thesis), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The publication must be approved by all authors and tacitly by the institute where the work was carried out.

Authors are encouraged to submit a manuscript to ‘Quality Assurance and Safety of Crops & Foods’ in any of the following categories:

Graphical Abstract: All authors need to submit graphical abstract in Image form (JPG, PDF) at the time of submission of manuscript

Quality Assurance and Safety of Crops & Foods Calendar

The ‘Quality Assurance and Safety of Crops & Foods’ calendar will provide an overview of the important international and national quality assurance and safety of crops & foods conferences, seminars and meetings world wide, announcements of international projects, as well as quality assurance and safety of crops & foods related courses and events. Conference and workshop organisers, as well as project leaders are encouraged to send their information to the Editorial office of the journal.

Open access publishing fee

Starting from May 2019, the journal ‘Quality Assurance and Safety of Crops & Foods’ has been published as an Open Access journal.

* All articles published by Quality Assurance and Safety of Crops & Foods are fully Open Access. This means that upon publication they are immediately freely available online for all to read, download, and share.

APC up to June 30, 2024 submissions

Research Article, Review Article, Short Communication: USD 1100

APC (From July 1, 2024 submissions)

Research Articles: $1,750.

Review Articles: $1,500.

Short Communications/Reviews: $1,300.

Article Publication Charge (APC)

The payment of an Article Publication Charge is due as soon as the manuscript is accepted. Your article's APC may vary depending on society membership or article type, and it may be covered by the Corresponding Author’s institution or funder through an agreement with Codon.

Authors of articles published in the ‘Quality Assurance and Safety of Crops & Foods’ retain the copyright of their articles and are free to reproduce and disseminate their work. The authors grant Codon Publications a license to publish the article.

Articles published in the ‘Quality Assurance and Safety of Crops & Foods’ will be protected by means of the Creative Commons BY 4.0.

Colour images

All figures should be black and white, unless the use of colour is necessary on scientific, and not merely cosmetic, grounds. Colour figures will be published if judged essential by the editors. Otherwise, full colour figures will be converted to black and white.

Reprints

Authors can order reprints of their article prior to publication. If you are interested (minimum order is 100 copies), please notify us in the stage of proof reading. The costs for reprints are 5 Euro per copy and include postage.
