We are writing to inform our esteemed authors and contributors about the updated Article Processing Charges (APC) for the "Quality Assurance and Safety of Crops & Foods" journal, which will be effective from July 1, 2024 (New Submissions from July 1, 2024). Our commitment to maintaining high-quality peer review, production, and dissemination of scientific knowledge necessitates these adjustments.

New APC Structure:

  • Research Articles: To continue fostering high-quality research in the field, the APC for research articles will be set at $1,750.
  • Review Articles: Recognizing the depth and comprehensive nature of review articles, the APC will be $1,500.
  • Short Communications/Reviews: To support the dissemination of concise and impactful findings, the APC for short communications or reviews will be $1,300.

Invited Articles: We deeply value contributions that significantly advance our field. Thus, invited articles will not be subject to APC. This waiver is a gesture of our appreciation for the invited contributions' potential to enrich the discourse within our community.

These adjustments are made with careful consideration to ensure the sustainability of the journal while also investing in the quality and integrity of the publication process. We understand that changes in APC might raise concerns; we assure you that these funds are reinvested into maintaining the journal's high standards and expanding our services to authors and readers.
